"Walker" as he was called, served in WWI in the US ARMY. He worked for the railroad before joining the army, and when he returned from the war, learned the trade of jeweler from his wife's families in Farmville Va. then they moved to Richmond Va. where he became the jeweler for Cowardin and Sons Jewelry store on the corner of Corwardin Ave., and Hull St.
He was a gentle, quiet spoken, loving family man that always smiled with a soft blue eyed slant. His roots and families are the foundation of our country and he spent his life believing "In GOD we trust" !
