Mark W. Glasgow was born on April 22, 1935 in Youngstown, Ohio, to Mark Willis and Helen Dorothy Riley Glasgow.

He attended Boardman Elementary and St. Ann Elementary Schools, Bethel High School and St. Vincent Prep; Grove City College in Grove City, Pennsylania; St. Vincent College in Latrobe, Pennsylvania, where he received his Bachelor of Arts degree in 1958; and St. Vincent Seminary in Latrobe where he received his Master of Arts degree in 1978.

Fr. Glasgow was ordained and incardinated into the Diocese of Pittsburgh on May 19, 1962, by Bishop John Joseph Wright at the St. Paul Cathedral in the Oakland neighbohood of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

His assignments included:
Parochial Vicar at St. Cyril of Alexandria Parish in the North Side of Pittsburgh, 1962 - 1966;
St. Bernard Parish in the Mt. Lebanon suburb of the South Hills of Pittsburgh, 1966 - 1970;
St. Peter Parish in the North Side of Pittsburgh, 1970 - 1974.

He served as Administrator at the St. Paschal Mission Parish and St. Louis Parish in West Sunbury, Pennsylvania;
Epiphany Mission Parish in Boyers, Pennsylvania;
St. Alphonsus Parish in Murrinsville, Pennsylvania, 1974 - 1983.

He served as Pastor and Co-Administrator at St. Peter Parish in the South Side of Pittsburgh, 1983 - 1992;
Moderator of Team Ministry at St. Maximilian Kolbe Church in Homestead, a borough southeast of Pittsburgh, 1992 - 1994.

He was a member of the Priest Council from 1968 - 1970 and acted as a Spiritual Director of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul from 1986 - 1991. He also served as Military Chaplain at the Veterans Administration Hospital in the Oakland neighborhood of Pittsburgh, 1988 - 2021. He resided at St. Maximilian Kolbe from 1994 until his retirement on September 1, 2021.

Rev. Mark W. Glasgow, of Pittsburgh, was welcomed into the Kingdom of Heaven after a lifetime of service to the Catholic Church on June 14, 2023, at the age of 88.

Funeral Mass was celebrated on Wednesday, July 5, 2023, 10 a.m., at St. Maximilian Kolbe Church of St. Thomas the Apostle Parish, 363 W. 11th Ave., Homestead, PA 15120. Fr. Glasgow was laid to rest at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Cemetery, Munhall.
