Visitation will occur June 19 from 9 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. at Christler Funeral Home, Prudenville Chapel. Reverend Leif Wurschmidt will officiate the funeral. Burial will be at Denton Township Cemetery.
Mrs. Johns was born Dec. 5, 1920 to Abraham and Gladys (Aburrow) Jones in Seward, IL. She married Archie Johns October 1939 in Illinois. They moved to Prudenville from Milford 27 years ago. She enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, crocheting and working with her flowers.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Abraham and Gladys Jones; her husband, Archie Johns in 1997; daughter, Nancy; and her grandson, Abraham.
Surviving are her two daughters, Audrey Rhoton of Prudenville and Elaine Johns (Rev. Leif Wurschmidt) of Fowlerville; son, Elwood Johns of Wisconsin; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; one great great-grandaughter and her brother, Richard Sherman of Pennsylvania.
