RONALD (RON) JOHN MOROSKY of Ormond Beach, Florida, loving husband and father of two children, died peacefully at the age of 81 at home with family at his side on Sunday evening, June 4, 2023.
Ron was born in East St Louis, Illinois on 7/15/41 to Josephine Ann and John Anthony Morosky. He was raised with his brother, Walter who precedes Ron in death and 2 dear, dear sisters, Dolores Stark and Deanna Rickert, both currently living in the St Louis area. Ron had a 1st through 12th year Catholic school education before he joined the Air Force and spent 2 years stationed in Germany as a microwave technician where he repaired black box avionics on B52 aircraft. After his discharge, he returned to St Louis where he raised and cherished his children, Lisa Kay (Craig) Logan of Springfield, MO and John Michael Morosky of Greenbriar, AR and obtained a BS Degree at Washington University. Stateside, he worked at McDonnell Douglas, RCA, AT&T, United Telephone and he eventually retired from Sprint. Ron moved to Orlando in 1985 where he met, courted and married Lynda Carol Sibert in 1987. They both worked in greater Orlando until they retired to Ormond Beach in 2007 to become beach bums, Ron's life long dream.
Ron enjoyed the beach, the ocean and his Sea Ray boat, camping, astronomy, travel, 1000 piece puzzles, home remodeling, handyman work around the neighborhood, reading, bowling, time with all of his family, Poker and vanilla ice cream - with caramel. Ron had a passion for helping the homeless and for years he volunteered at food pantries in Orlando and Daytona Beach. Ron was strong in his Catholic faith, a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Daytona Beach, a frequent volunteer there and an Extraordinary Minister of Communion.
Ron was blessed with 4 grandchildren, Ashlee (Jesse) Nieto, Joshua (Abby) Logan, John Anthony Morosky and Cole Brady Morosky. He also dearly loved his 5 great-grand children: Olivia, Henry, Elliot, Adilynn and Emma.
A viewing will be held at Lohman Funeral Home Ormond, 733 W Granada Blvd, Ormond Beach, FL 32174, 386-673-1100 on Thursday, June 15th from 6 PM to 8 PM.
