James U. Harvey, aged 70 years, died Monday afternoon at the family home on the Spring Creek road. Mr. Harvey for the past two years had been in failing health, but it was not until late last week that he took to his bed. Mr. Harvey is survived by his wife and six children as follows: Bert C. and Harry W. Harvey of Hydetown; Anna F. of Shelmadine Springs; Mrs. Rosa G. Murray of Vrooman; Mrs. Jennie L. Burrows of Titusville, and Silas C. Harvey, who lives on the Spring Creek road. Funeral services, it was announced last evening, will be held some time on Friday, the hour to be determined later.

Funeral Yesterday - Funeral services of James U. Harvey of Oil Creek township North of the city were conducted at the White Oak church beginning at 2 o'clock yesterday afternoon. Rev. Mr. Summerton of Hydetown was the officiating clergyman and the church choir assisted him. There was present a very large attendance of friends and neighbors and the floral offerings were beautiful. Interment was made in Excelsior cemetery.
