Mrs. Esther Ann Harvey, widow of Silas Harvey, passed away at 2:30 a.m., yesterday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Joseph Porter, 684 East Spruce street. Although Mrs. Harvey was 72 years of age, she had enjoyed very good health up to last Thursday. On May 6 she returned from visiting her son in Tionesta. To them were born seven children, the following surviving: Mrs. Porter, with whom she made her home; Charles Harvey of Tionesta, Mrs. Rose Putnam of Erie, and Mrs. Ida Kightlinger of Mt. Hope, on Goodwill Hill. There are thirteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Mrs. Harvey was a member of the M. E. church for many years and held in high esteem by all who knew her. A prayer service will be held at the home of the daughter, 684 East Spruce street, at noon today, after which the funeral party will go to Enterprise for funeral services at the M. E. church at 2:30 p.m., Rev. L. E. Elbel, pastor, officiating. The interment will be made in the family lot beside the husband in Enterprise cemetery.
(Esther was originally buried beside Silas Harvey Jr. in Enterprize Cemetery Venango Co. but Esther's daughters had her disinterred and reburied in Diamond, Pa. at some unknown later date.)
