Second Lieutenant, 474th Bomb Squadron, 335th Bomb Group, World War II.

Bombardier aboard U.S. Army Air Forces B-26B Marauder #41-17723.
He was killed when the twin engine bomber stalled and crashed on takeoff from Selman Field, Monroe, Louisiana. The accident claimed the lives of five and seriously injured a sixth crewmember. They were returning to their base at Barksdale Field, Louisiana.

The four other fatalities were:
