• MADILL -- Graveside service for Alma Mamie Dewberry, 88, Ardmore, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Woodberry Forest Cemetery with John Hatfield and the Rev. Charles B. Davis officiating.

Mrs. Dewberry was born Nov. 6, 1913, in Woodville to Charlie C. and Dovie M. Osborn Bailey She died Feb. 12, 2002, in Ardmore.

Raised in Woodville, she moved to Dickson where she lived 40 years and was a nurse at the Seventh-day Adventist Hospital in Ardmore. She and Marvin Hicks were married on Dec. 19, 1929, in Marshall County. She was preceded in death by her husband on Oct. 23, 1961; a son, Jerry Don; a daughter, Frances Klein; and a brother, Roy Bailey.

Survivors include two sons, Harry and Marvin; and a daughter, Patsy Pierce, all of Ardmore; two brothers, Howard Bailey, Jamestown, Mo., and Elmer Bailey, Woodville; three sisters, Iva Cothran, Mannsville, Mae Steele, Kingston and Edna J. Moen, Milwaukee; 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Bearers will be Wendyl Klein, Shane Buchanan, Melissa Dewberry, Carl G. Buchanan, Larry Bates and Sidney Carlton.

Watts Funeral Home will direct services.
