Arlington - Juanita P. Johnson, 84, a retired secretary for Carter Junior High School in Artlington, died Friday in Mesquite.
Funeral: 11:30 a.m. today at Moore Funeral Home. Burial: Moore Memorial Gardens.

Juanita Johnson was born Aug 6, 1911 in Honey Grove.
She worked in the Arlington public school system as secretary for 17 years at Carter-Junior High School before retiring. She was a member of First Christian Church in Arlington and First Christian Adult Fellowship. She lived at Arkansas House Retirement Center in Arlington for one year and then moved to Mesquite to be with her granddaughter. She was a longtime Arlington resident.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Cleo D. Johnson, in February 1994 and a son, Cleo Wayne Johnson, in June 1975.
Survivors: Sister, Mildred Reeves of Honey Grove; granddaughter, Deena Kay Johnson of Mesquite; grandson, Lawrence Wayne Johnson of Dallas; sister-in-law, Mary Leoma Cox of Oklahoma City; and nine great-grandchildren.
