Daughter of John Wesley Eccles and Mary Miller, one of 4 girls and 1 boy, her sister Martha married John's brother, Thomas. She and John had 7 children, 3 daughters (Ella, Alice and Lillian) and 4 sons (Osmond, Edward, Thomas and Robert). She died when Robert was about 2 1/2 months old.
