Brian Edward Claypool, of Albany, GA, died Sunday, September 4, 2022 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

A native of Gadsden, AL, he was the son of the late James and Margaret Claypool. He graduated from Albany High School in 1963. Mr. Claypool served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam as a First Lt. He and Nan recently moved to Albany from The Woodlands, TX where they attended The Woodlands United Methodist Church. Since moving to Albany, they attended First Baptist Church of Albany.

Mr. Claypool is survived by his wife of 22 years, Nan Murphy Claypool; a stepson, Trent Ward and his wife Laura; a sister, Marci Perry and her husband Conrad; two nephews: Douglas Hamilton and his wife Ann, and Clark Hamilton and his wife Terese; and a niece, Laurel Mchmel.
