• WILSON -- Graveside rites for William "Billy" Franklin Whitener, 68, Orr, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Crow Cemetery, southwest of Wilson, with the Rev. Parlee Russell officiating.
Whitener was born Aug. 28, 1932, in Orr, to Maggie Moore Whitener. He died Nov. 12, 2001, in an Oklahoma City hospital.
He lived his entire life in Orr and was married to Julie Faye Redmon there. He was a farmer.
He is survived by his wife, of the home; three daughters, Lorene Cypert, Coweta, Linda Williams and Lyda Mae Beck, Wilson; and son, Jerry, Orr. He was preceded in death by a son, Charles Franklin, Nov. 28, 1994; and brother, David.
Family members will serve as bearers.
Alexander Funeral Home will direct services.
