Sharon Marie McNulty first saw the light of this world at the Harvey Hospital in Gothenburg, Nebraska on April 23, 1941. Born to loving parents, Everett and Elsye (Berryman) McNulty, Sharon soon arrived at the family home 10 miles northeast of Cozad. She loved living in the country and enjoyed riding and caring for her horses. Sharon attended Pine Ridge District 80 country school through the 8th grade, and graduated from Cozad High School in 1958.
Sharon was baptized and confirmed in the Evangelical United Brethren Church, and has been a member of the American Lutheran Church in Cozad since 1959.
Sharon Koch raised and loved Arabian horses, Collie dogs, and cats, especially Misty and Buddy. She lived in her home in the country for almost 50 years. She enjoyed growing large vegetable and flower gardens. Sharon was a member of the Sunny Susans 4-H club, Green Thumb Garden club, Modern Homemakers club, and Extension clubs. Sharon enjoyed crocheting afghans, cooking, baking (especially pies), and babysitting for others.
Sharon loved being a Mother, and raising her children. Each one of them knew they were loved dearly. She wrote long letters to her sons and daughter at least once a week, every week from the time they left home, starting 45 years ago.
