Alice Nellie (Eoff) Reed was the daughter of Thomas R Eoff and Laura Isabelle Davis, natives of Missouri. She was the ninth born of ten children. her siblings being: Thomas Newton Eoff, Mary (Eoff) Washburn, Ida Ethel (Eoff) Washburn, Derice Edgar Eoff, Bertha Isabelle (Eoff) Miller, Roy James Eoff, Katherine L (Eoff) O'Brien, Amanda (Eoff) Mabry and Arthur Perry Eoff. Alice was raised on the family farm in Jefferson County, Missouri

Alice married Coen Schleigh Reed, the son of Thomas S Reed and Lora Victoria Wilson, February 2, 1930 in St Louis, Missouri. Alice and Coen were the parents of Ralph Lester Reed and Dorothy Marie (Reed) Perkins. Alice was a school bus driver and later, with her husband, had a dairy farm.
