MAYODAN — Lena Harrison Goad Gann, 91, formerly of 409 North 5th Avenue, died Friday, March 7, 2008, at Britthaven of Madison.
The funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, March 9, at Mayodan Moravian Church. Interment will follow in the Moravian graveyard.
Mrs. Gann was born November 20, 1916, in Rockingham County, to the late Davis and Bessie Atkins Goad. She was a faithful member of Mayodan Moravian Church for over 70 years and owner and operator of Lena's Restaurant in downtown Madison for many years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Boyd D. Gann; sister, Annie Biggs; and brothers, Ernest Goad, Troy Hill Goad, Harold King Goad, and Roy David Goad.
