Hidies Tyrone Akins, Sr., was born on June 16, 1961, in Macclenny, Florida to the late Carrie and James Akins. Hidies. He passed away on March 16, 2023, at his home surrounded by his loving family. Hidies was educated in the Baker County School system. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family and friends. He was the neighborhood fence guy, whether it was putting up a new fence or repairing an old one, he enjoyed doing it. He retired from Stone Transport Inc., after several years. His sister, Betsy Manley preceded him in death.
Left to cherish his memory: The love of his life, Tina Jefferson, children, 5 Daughters and 1 Son all of Macclenny, Florida, grandchildren, Cason, Cayvion, Cayden, Victor, Kingston, Jalon, and Reighn. Siblings, Cynthia Surrency, Ronnie Akins, Macclenny, Florida, and Kenneth Akins, Daytona, Florida. Longtime friend, Edward-Doug Allen and a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 24, 2023, from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm and Funeral services will be Saturday, March 25, 2023, at 12:00 noon. Both services will be at Emmanuel Church of God, Macclenny, Florida, Superintendent Elder Joe Ruise, officiant.
