He was the son of the late C.W. and Ora Evans Formyduval.
Formyduval was a World War II veteran. He was a long time member of Palmyra Baptist Church, where he served the one he believed in. His love and outreach to his fellowman was very inspirational. All that knew him loved him. He will be dearly missed.
He was preceded in death by Ulysses Grant Formyduval, Thurl Formyduval, Colleen Mason and Rev. Mort Formyduval.
Final rites were held Saturday, Dec. 10 at Palmyra Baptist Church by the Reverends Oscar Hullendar and Wayne Faulk. Burial followed in the Formyduval Family Cemetery in Old Dock. Inman Funeral Home of Tabor City handled the arrangements.
Survivors include his wife, Adalene B. Formyduval of the home, a daughter, Hilda Ward and husband, Freddie C. Ward of Old Dock; a granddaughter, Tammy W. Suggs and husband Jeff Suggs, a great-grandson, Michael Suggs, all of Wilmington; a grandson, Jerome Ward and wife Michelle Ward and great-grandson, Chandler Ward, all of Old Dock; a sister, Thela Hooks and husband Carol Hooks of Monroe; four brothers, Rev. Guy Formyduval, Bunson Lyle Formyduval, Kermit Gleen Formyduval and wife Leona Formyduval, all of Old Dock; and C. Wynn and wife Betty Formyduval, all of Old Dock; nieces and nephews.
Serving as pallbearers were Lanny Formyduval, David Formyduval, Chris Formyduval, Michael Gore, Matthew Ross, Greg Ross and Joey Formyduval.
