Born Oct. 28, 1934, in Catawba County, she was the daughter of the late Zeddie and Edith Smyre Sigmon Campbell.
She was a member of Fairbrook Baptist Church. She had been a devoted homemaker for many years and was a friend to all.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Horace A. Lail, and a sister, Margie Sigmon Turner.
Mrs. Lail is survived by two sons, Hal Eugene Lail and wife, Ruth, of Conover, and Danny (Bubba) Edward Lail of the home; two brothers, Carl (Lynn) Sigmon of Bethlehem and Claude Sigmon of Catawba; a granddaughter, Jennifer Lail and husband, Aaron Kane-Eames, of Raleigh; and a grandson David Lail of Conover.
The funeral service for Mrs. Lail will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 5, 2007, at Catawba Funerals & Cremations, with Pastors Rick Davis and Carroll Craig officiating.
Burial will be in Catawba Memorial Park.
