Carol Adams, 81, of Diana, Texas passed away on March 13, 2023. Carol was born in Hughes Springs, Texas to John and Oline McCain on January 1, 1942.
Carol in her younger days enjoyed playing softball and was known for her kind hearted nature. As the years went on Carol was a self-proclaimed pioneer woman determined that her way was not only the only way but the right way. She was someone who would do anything to help someone that needed it though. A devoted member of the Ore City Church of Christ she was always ready to serve. Carol loved her family and friends. She treated all her friends as family. She retired in 2006 after 25 years of dedicated service working at David Beards Catfish in Ore City, Texas where she treated everyone as if they were family.
Carol is survived by her daughter, DeAnn Cameron and husband Randy; son, Eric Adams; her cousin, Phyllis Jordan who was more like a sister; grandchildren, Landon Oliver, Cara Cameron, Brad Cameron, Charles Cameron and Melissa Basham; great-grandchildren, Presley Alexander, Donnie Blunt, Paige Cameron, Beau Cameron and Brody Basham; as well as all her precious friends on Smilax Road known as her "Smilax Road Family."
Carol is preceded in death by her mother, Oline McCain; father, John Ovie McCain; step-mother, Opal Charlene McCain; and her beloved husband, John Dee Adams.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 15th from 6 to 8 in the evening. Funeral Services will be held at the Ore City Church of Christ on Friday March 17th at 2 o'clock in the afternoon with interment to follow at the Ore City Cemetery in Ore City, Texas.
