Newton Abbett passes Beyond

Newton M. Abbett, 82, a former resident of this county, died at 3 o'clock this morning in Kansas City, Mo., according to a message received by relatives.

Funeral services will be held and burial made there at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon.

Mr. Abbett was born in this county, but had been away from it most of the time in recent years, although he spent a year here, leaving last April.

He is survived by a brother and sister, William A. Abbett and Mrs. Hattie Sackett.

He was a veteran of the Indian war.
