William (Bill) Frank Howard
William (Bill) Frank Howard passed away on October 19th 2014 in his sleep at his home in Bellevue, Washington. Bill was born on March 16, 1914 to Charles and Alice Howard of Seattle, Washington.
Bill graduated from the University of Washington with a degree in Business and was co-owner of the family business which became Howard Manufacturing Company of Kent until the business was sold in 1996.
Bill served in the US army during World War II in the Pacific theater, which included a short stay in Japan during the occupation.
Bill married Jean Taylor on February 5, 1949 and they lived at various locations in the metropolitan Seattle area, including Horizon House in downtown Seattle.
Bill enjoyed tennis, golf and camping with his family. He was a member of the Seattle Tennis Club, Seattle Golf Club. Broadmoor Golf Club, Meridian Valley Country Club and Desert Island Golf club in Rancho Mirage, California.
Bill was preceded in death by his wife Jean on January 31, 2007. He is survived by his two sons John and Philip and daughter-in-law Marcia.
