84, of Cranston, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 29, 2021.
Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Romeo and Iola (Fioravanti) D'Ambra.
Leonard was an accomplished bass player and led many bands since 1963 until he lost a leg in December 2013. He was a refrigeration technician, working for Paramount Restaurant Supply and All State Restaurant supply for most of his life before retiring.
He leaves his former wife and companion Grace and their children, Michael Albanese and his wife Cynthia, Leonard F. Albanese and his wife Janice, and Gina Albanese.
He also leaves daughters, Alexandria, Marissa and Samantha Albanese; Sisters, Angela Burns, Elaine Leo and Melody Kelly.
He is also survived by his grandchildren, Jason, Nicholas, Jessica, Amanda, Isaac, Sarah, Rachel and Matthew and dear great-grandchildren, Kaiden, Keira and Gianna.
He was the brother of the late Norma Gilleese.
Burial in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
