Hanover - Loy McCleaf, lovingly known as "Mick," peacefully passed away on January 15, 2019, at the age of 59 years. Mick was a native of Hanover, born September 30, 1959, to his parents Irene Halter and the late Elwood McCleaf. Mick was described as a hard worker in his professional and personal life. He was happiest when staying active and keeping his hands busy. He also loved his dear cat and buddy, Brown.
He will forever be remembered by his mother, Irene, brother, Scott, and his son and daughter-in-law, Zachary and Stacy. He will also be missed by his step-children and their families, his nieces and nephews, and his many friends that enjoyed visiting Mick at his garage. Mick was predeceased by his father, Elwood, and his brother, Wayne McCleaf.
A celebration of Mick's life will be held at the Gitt Memorial Library on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 from 4-7 PM. In lieu of flowers, please pray for the Miami Dolphins (Mick's favorite team) to make the play-offs next year or donate to the Marty Eveler Memorial Trust Fund at 5 West Boundary Avenue, Dallastown, PA, 17313.
