It is with great sorrow that the Belanchik family announces the passing of their patriarch John Belanchik. He passed peacefully on March 5, 2023 surrounded by his loving wife and three beautiful daughters in Hackensack University Medical Center.
John was born on June 11, 1947 in Newark, NJ.
He was devoted husband, father and grandfather.
The love of his country was shown by his service in the Navy.
A jack of all trades, John found work as a pipe fitter and welder, also graduating from Catherine Gibbs with a degree in graphic design.
The simple pleasures in life brought great joy to John. He enjoyed quiet evenings with his wife and family.
John will be remembered for his compassion and selflessness. He was seen as a father figure to many and will be sorely missed by all who knew him.
Predeceased by his parents Joseph and Vera Belanchik; daughter Jessica Belanchik; brother-in-law Cory Kuziw; and his father-in-law and mother-in-law Tony and Dolores Robinson, John was survived by his loving wife of 44 years Diane Belanchik; his daughter Kristin (and loving partner Jeff), his daughter Katye (and loving partner Mike), and his daughter Rebecca (and husband Richard Funk); two beautiful grandchildren Savanah and Richie Funk; and his brother Thadeus "Doug" Paterson.
