McIntire-Congleton (1811-1878), Amanda McIntire-Metcalfe (1812-1893), James McIntire (1813-1866), Mary McIntire-Tabor (1818-1858), and George W. McIntire (1821-1865).
After John died on 26 Mar 1826, he was buried in the Jones Cemetery, Midland, Bath County. John's tombstone is the oldest in the cemetery and the inscription reads: "In Memory of Maj. John McIntire, March 3, 1760 - March 20, 1826, age 66. He Was One Among The First Settlers Of Ky And For 14 Years Fought For The Liberties We Now Enjoy." Several of his children and family members are also buried there.
