Mr. Warren W. Hollingsworth, 65 of Lake City, died Tuesday, February 19, 2008 at the Lake City Medical Center. He was born in Palatka, FL, the son of the late Woodrow Wilson and Willa Mae Dobbs Hollingsworth and had lived most of his life in Lake City. He was the former State President of Gideons International of Florida. Mr. Hollingsworth was very active in The Gideon Ministry speaking in churches and loved placing Testaments in schools. He loved his family and grandchildren and was a devoted member, Lay Leader and choir member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church.
Mr. Hollingsworth is survived by his wife of 45 years, Shirley Hollingsworth, Lake City; sons, Scott Hollingsworth (Michele), Lake City and Eric Hollingsworth (Kelly), Lulu, FL; brothers, Woody Hollingsworth (Joann), Ft. White and Robert Hollingsworth (Debbie), Lebanon, OH; sister, Jeanette Moody, Lebanon, OH; Sheryl Ann Meng: Starke,Fl, eight grandchildren, Colby, Hunter and Madison Hollingsworth, all of Lake City and Emmalee Hollingsworth, Lulu, FL; Nicholas and Travis Czaban, Lake City; Kaleb and Thomas DuBose, Lulu, FL also survive.
Funeral services for Mr. Hollingsworth will be conducted at 11:00 AM. Friday, February 22, 2008 at Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church with Reverend Gerald Williams and Reverend Ken Hamilton officiating. Interment will follow at Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held from 5:00 – 8:00 P.M. Thursday evening at the funeral home.
