Guyetta Arline McKee Nix-Cluck passed at her home in Newalla, on Tuesday, February 21, 2023, with her son Michael by her side. Guyetta was born March 3, 1932, in Caddo County, Oklahoma to George and Madie (Hiser) McKee. she was raised in Lookeba until her Senior year of high school, then transferred to Hinton where she graduated in May 1949. She played basketball three years at Lookeba and her senior year a Hinton, always on the varsity team because of her great capability of playing and her love for the game. Her first real job was secretary-bookkeeper to the Hinton School Superintendent, Andy J. Evans, the next year after graduation, then in March of 1950, she married Vernon Carl Nix of Hinton, Oklahoma and in June 1950, they moved to Stillwater, where Carl attended Oklahoma A & M College while Guyetta worked at the Stillwater National Bank and the Veterans Service Office on the campus until she gave birth to her first child Vernon Guy Nix in March of 1952. In January of 1953, Carl graduated from college with a degree in Agronomy and they moved to Medford, Oklahoma where he began teaching in the high school. They lived in Medford for seven years where Guyetta gave birth to two more children, Michael George and Jennifer Lynne "Ginger" Nix before moving to Fort Worth, TX for about 18 months, then back to Oklahoma City where Carl began teaching again. The next year her last child, Patrick Dane, was born at Hinton, Oklahoma. Preceding her in death were her first husband Vernon Carl Nix in 1972, her father George McKee in August 1976, her second husband, Raymond Anderson in September 1976, her precious daughter "Ginger" in January 1992, her last husband Billy Joe Cluck in November 2004, her mother Madie McKee in February 2007 and her sister Doris Burdick in December 2021. Survivors include three sons: Vernon Guy Nix, Michael George Nix and Patrick Dane Nix, one daughter-in-law: Vickie Nix, four grandchildren, Ryan Nix, Michael Nix, Stephanie Nix and Samantha Morgan and two great-granddaughters: Ivey J Nix and Ariyah J'Lyn Jordan. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 am Monday, February 27, 2023, at the Asa Smith Funeral Service Chapel of Harrah. Burial will follow in the Jones IOOF Cemetery.
