Einar Hyland Dies at Rock Dell

Einar J. Hyland, Rock Dell community resident for more than 50 years, died at his home at 1:30 p.m. yesterday. He was 66 years old. Born in Norway Fedruary 26,1876, he was 15 when he came to the Rock Dell area.

Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. William Stelter, Mrs. Bennie Stevens, and Mrs. Adin Scharberg of Hayfield, and Mrs. Ralph Winslow and Mrs. Earl Weiland of Austin; four sons, Alfred and Ernest of Austin and Walter and Kenneth, living at home and one brother, Ole Hyland of Rock Dell. Mrs. Hyland died a year ago.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the home and 2 9.m. at the East St. Olaf church.

Einar's baptism sponsors were John and Kittel Gjeiskie and Joraan and Aslaug Norstegaard.

September 12, 1918 WWI Draft Registration lists Einar as a declared alien, he had not been naturalized as a U.S. citizen.
