Funeral services will be held at Spruce Park Lutheran church at Bigfork on Thursday, March 11, 1971 at 2:00 p. m. for Cornelius Erickson of Bigfork.
Born on September 2, 1889 on the Feset-Feseth farm, Bamble, Telemark, Norway, Mr. Erickson died at Bigfork on March 6, 1971 at the age of 81.
Surviving relatives include his wife Pansy of Bigfork, a son Raymond Erickson of Geneva, Pennsylvania; three daughters, Mrs. Clarence (Lorraine) Hamilton of Adams, Minnesota, Mrs. Gail (Kathleen) Henry of Kokomo, Indiana and Mrs. Michael (Bertha) Bjorke of North Branch, Minnesota; 14 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; a brother, John of Bigfork and two sisters, Mrs. Charles Gustafson and Mrs. Hildegard Tagtgren, both of Bigfork.
Clergyman will be Rev. Al Baderman. Funeral director is Libbey-Crotteau Funeral Home of Grand Rapids. Interment will be in Bigfork cemetery.
Mr. Erickson came to United States in 1891 (April 4, 1893) with his parents. They settled in Superior, Wisconsin. In 1904 they moved to Bigfork where they homesteated. Mr. Erickson was united in marriage to Pansy Myers on December 18, 1924. A veteran of World War I, serving with the U.S. Army in France. Mr. Erickson was also a member of the Foster-Bjorge VFW post No. 1764.
