Richard Michael Fedoush, 87, of Lower Burrell, died Sunday, January 28, 2024 in his home.

He was born in Acmetonia, PA on October 7, 1936 to the late Michael and Pauline Holinda Fedoush and has been a resident of Lower Burrell, PA since 2010, having lived previously in Indiana Township.

Mr. Fedoush worked initially as a wire chief, then as a supervisor for Western Union for 31 years until the company evolved and he retired from there at the age of 51. He continued employment with Duquesne Light until his true retirement.

He served in the Army and had several stories to tell about his time in Korea just after the war, where he was in charge of Bucket A, the American radio station in Korea.

Richard's younger days were spent playing ball, golfing, bowling, and traveling by car everywhere in the United States for family vacations. Later, he and his wife would take day car rides anywhere with the motto, 'All roads lead to a restaurant.'

Richard had a talent of repairing old radios, and once in working order, he refinished them to look like new. He also found great enjoyment in ancestry and would photograph every gravesite in any given cemetery when he was able to, and would enter the photos and obituaries on the Find a Grave website. When no longer physically able to walk the cemetery, he made his entries from using the online newspapers. All told, he entered over 500,000 obituaries into Find a Grave.

Mr. Fedoush is survived by his two daughters, Kathleen and Susan (Brian), and three grandchildren, Hannah (Matt), Abby, and Max.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Barbara Jean Musco Fedoush on May 19, 2021 and his brother, Leonard Fedoush of Weirton WV.
