Yvonne Susan Dunn was born Sept. 8, 1949, in Aitkin, MN, and passed Dec. 26, 2022, in Vancouver, WA.
Yvonne, 73 years old and the mother of three, she was the sister to 10 and a friend to all she met, passed on peacefully in her sleep, surrounded by her family, after a short battle with cancer.
She is survived by her husband, Russell; and their three children, Jennifer Dollar, Bruce Dunn (Becky) and Kenneth Dunn (Julie).
She had six grandchildren, Wyatt, Alyssa, Avery, Megan, Vee and Parker, who were such a source of love and pride for her. She had 37 nieces and nephews who all loved their "aunt Vonnie".
Yvonne was one of 11 siblings and is survived by LeRoy Nollette, JoAnne Ellis, Kathleen Martins, Paul Nollette, Peter Nollette, Rita Nollette, Anthony Nollette, Gregory Nollette and Hugh Nollette. Her sister Amelia Westling passed away from cancer in 2021. Yvonne so missed her sister Millie and their beloved mother, Josephine, who passed away from cancer as well.
I know that she is happy with both of them at her side.
Until the age of 12, she grew up in Waukenabo, MN, where she was schooled in a one room school house (where most of the students were her relatives).
It wasn't until Yvonne's family sold the farm and moved to Newberg that she was able to experience the big city. It was there that another young girl who befriended her and showed her around the big Junior High School and made her feel comfortable. Her deep friendship with Marie lasts to this day...
Yvonne raised kids until there were two in college at the same time, it was then that she felt needed to help earn more money for tuition and began a ten year job at the HP printer factory where she made more good friends.
Yvonne enjoyed playing cards, gardening, quilting/sewing, RV'ing with her husband and their two Dachshunds, where they traveled all across the country, several times. She loved spending weekends at the Oregon coast and hitting the slot machines at Chinook Winds.
A celebration will be held at the Firstenburg community room at:
11:00 a.m. on Feb. 25th, 2023
