Thomas Valdimar "Valdie" Myers was the son of Samuel D. and Martha Mariah (Pierce) Myers. Thomas Valdimar "Valdie" Myers married Bertha Anna Gnade on September 6, 1906 in Iowa Falls, Hardin Co., Iowa, They had 8 children together.

Succumbs at Le Roy

LE ROY - Thomas V. Myers 81, of Le Roy, died here Sunday night at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Herbert Soltau.

He was born Oct. 12, 1878, near Ackley, Iowa and moved to this area in 1928. His wife preceded him in death.

Servivors are; two daughters, Mrs. Connie Erickson, Big Fork, Minn, and Mrs. Herbert Soltau, Le Roy; one son, V. H. Myers of Rochester; two sisters, Mrs. Verle Wolfe, Hollywood, Calif., and Mrs. Jane Stephens, Ames, Iowa, and one brother S. A. Myers of Le Roy.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Martz Funeral Home in Le Roy with Rev. George Barnitt officiating. Friends may call until the time of sevice at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Le Roy Cemetery.
