Claude Lee Waddell

Claude Lee Waddell, 36, of Decatur, AL, died Sunday, September 25, 2022, at Huntsville Hospital. Lee was born October 21, 1985, in Decatur to Ramona and Ronnie Waddell. He graduated from Danville High School in 2005. He then attended Auburn University.

Lee loved his family and hunting, in that order, more than anything. One of his favorite sights was watching the sun rise while standing in a swamp, duck hunting with his family and friends. A skill that Lee possessed and few people knew about was his drawing acumen. In contrast, a skill that everyone knew about was his incredible wit. He would, more often than not, have us in stitches laughing at his quick dry humor.

He is survived by his parents Ramona and Ronnie Waddell; his siblings, Joel Flowers (Kerry), Gayle Jones, Susanne Roberts (Ricky), Brad Flowers (Kelly), Ben Flowers (Steph) and Ellyn Flowers Cutler (Justin); numerous nephews and nieces; and more cousins than one can count. He was preceded in death by all four of his grandparents (Vera and James Waddell; Jerry and Brad Mixon), his Aunt Connie Waddell Standridge and his Uncle Paul Jones.

Visitation will be held at Roselawn Funeral Home on September 30 from 6:00-8:00. On October 1st a graveside will be held at 1:00 pm at Roselawn Cemetery and A Celebration of Life at 3:00 pm at Burningtree Country Club.
