1903 Addie Hamilton 1981

Addie Hamilton was born July 20, 1903 in New Boston, Lee County, Iowa to Robert Lee Hamilton and Josephine Mary (Collins) Hamilton. She lived in the New Boston, Iowa area until moving to LeRoy with her family.

In 1928 she entered Rochester State Hospital remaining a patient for 35 years. She lived in several Austin nursing homes, moving to St. Mark's Lutheran Home in 1975.

She always showed concern for others and would lend a helping hand to everyone. One of her joys was being able to help in the beauty shop.

She was member of Little Cedar Lutheran Church in Adams. Miss Hamilton underwent surgery June 2, 1981 and passed away July 25, 1981.

Surviving are three sisters-in-laws, Stella Hamilton of Adams, Nora Hamilton of Elkton, Viola Hamilton of Minneapolis; nieces and nephews, Ruth Peters, Curtis Hamilton of Adams; Lola May Juhl of West Point, Iowa, Maxine Hermuth, Robert Hamilton Jr. of Fort Madison, Iowa; Roy, Earl, Norbert Hamilton of Elkton; Joan Nagel of Minneapolis; Carolee McGinley of Sudbury, Mass.; great-nieces; great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers; two nephews.

Funeral services were held July 28, at Little Cedar Lutheran Church in Adams, MN. The Adams Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Interment was at the LeRoy Lutheran Cemetery, LeRoy, Minnesota.
