Mary Catherine was strong in her faith in Christ and showed her devotion to God in her love and care for his furry creations. She had a heart as big as the world, and she spent years working ceaselessly and selflessly to rescuing lost and abused animals and helping them find their happily ever after forever homes. Though Mary Catherine had an abiding love for all of God's creatures, she would say that dogs held a most special place in her heart.
She spent many years doing the work she loved as an accountant for Georgia Power. Mary Catherine retired from Georgia Power after forty years of exemplary service in 2019. Retiring allowed her to dedicate more time to helping animals in need, and enjoying her family, especially her grandchildren.
Though Mary Catherine was an accountant by trade, by no means whatsoever was she a boring person. One of her favorite pastimes was drag racing with her husband. They both enjoyed the thrill of the racing and cheering on their favorite drivers.
In addition to her parents, Mary Catherine is also preceded in death by her husband, Bruce Adams and her sister Lisa McCord. She is survived by her sons; her three grandchildren; her sister; her nephew; and her nieces .
There is a vast emptiness that Mary Catherine filled, yet it is so comforting to know that she is where she longed to be, in the presence care of her Savior.
