Gabriel Alexander of this sketch and his brother James were founders of the Tinkling Spring Presbyterian Church in Augusta, Virginia in 1744. In 1749 brothers settled in the tract of land called Beverley Manor.
In 1778 Gabriel's will was written and recorded 16 March 1779; his sons Gabriel and James were co-executors.
