William (Bill) Hansen Leishman, 81, a western Montana farmer since 1916, died Sunday in a St. Ignatius hospital, after a brief illness. Mr. Leishman, born December 2, 1887 in Wellsville, Utah, came to Drummond, MT in 1916; to Ronan in 1933 and to St. Ignatius in 1936. He was married to Isabelle McCoard January 8, 1913. She survives at the family home. He is also survived by three sons, Claude and Wesley of St. Ignatius and Velton of Bellevue, WA; six daughters, Mrs. A.J. (Eva) Nelson of Odgen, Utah; Mrs. John (Adeline) Cornelius of Ronan; Mrs. D.H. (Afton) May of Bremerton, WA; Mrs. Dave (Reta) Aronson of Rollins, MT; Mrs. Arthur (Natalie) Drake of St. Ignatius, and Mrs. J.C. (Donna Mae) Morgan of Klamath Falls, OR; two brothers, Vernon of Missoula, MT; and Kermit of Drummond, MT;, two sisters, Mrs. Oneta Morris of American Falls, Idaho; and Mrs. Ada Holley of West Richland, WA; 35 grandchildren, and 19 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Leishman was an elder of the Latter Day Saints Church. Funeral services were conducted Wednesday at the LDS Church by Bishop Reuben R. Moss. Tributes may be in the form of memorials to the LDS Church. The Fearon Mortuary was in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers were Alvin Nelson, JR, Edwin Cornelius, Max Leishman, Philip Leishman, Stacy Aronson, all grandsons.
