Verl Lee "Corker" Lawson Jr., 46, of Bardstown, passed away Sunday, December 8, 2019 at University Hospital. He was a former employee of Leggett & Platt and a member of K.I.T.P.A. He was preceded in death by his parents, Verl Sr. & Emma Lawson; along with a brother, Billy Crawford. He is survived by his loving companion, Marcy Pearson; one stepson, Charles Pearson; two stepdaughters, Shelby & Natoshia Pearson; two sisters, Lawonna Lawson and Cathy Ryan; a grandson, Hayden Fender; two nephews, Christopher Ryan and Cody Lawson; two nieces, Christy Ryan and Courtney Lewis; two great-nephews, Bentley & Leo Lewis; three great-nieces, Alivia Hurst and Kendall & Adley Ryan; along with his fur babies, Tootie, Rocky and Daisy. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday at the McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home with burial to follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Fairfield. Friends may visit from 4-8 p.m. Thursday and after 9 a.m. Friday.
