Ronald Dean Brillhart passed away peacefully on December 15, 2022. His wife, Judy, was by his side when he passed.
Ron was born in Chico, CA on December 28, 1944 to Leona and Dewey Brillhart. He grew up in Paradise and graduated from Paradise High School in 1962. In 1963 he began work as a seasonal firefighter for California Division of Forestry. During the winter months he worked for California Department of Fish and Game. In 1965 he was permanently hired by the California Division of Forestry. His career was quickly interrupted by a draft notice from the U.S. Army. Ron spent two years in the army and was a truck driver in Vietnam. He was in the 120th Truck Company outside of Saigon. In 1967 he returned to his position with the California Division of Forestry. In 1996 Ron retired as a Fire Captain from the Californian Department of Forestry.
Ron is survived by his wife Judy, his sisters Norma and Virginia, his brother Lyle, his wife's nephew Daniel Angel, wife Tracy and children Caleb, Chris and Cassie and his very special one-eyed cockatiel, Winkie.
He was preceded in death by his daughter Tiffany, his parents Dewey and Leona, his sisters Lorraine, Dorothy and Carol and his brother Daryl.
Ron was a quiet man with a kind and gentle soul. To honor Ron's wishes, there will be no service. When gathered with friends feel free to share some of his "tall tales". If you wish to make a donation, please make it to your favorite charity.
