Ginger Potter, age 58, passed away on Thursday, December 15, 2022 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.


She was born on June 5, 1964 in Jackson, Tennessee to the late John Thomas Potter and Carolyn Jean Potter.
Ginger was known for her unconditional love and being the light in a dark room. She loved helping families in need, and she was the one you could always count on for more reason than one. She was a loving mother, daughter, sister and friend. One of her favorite hobbies was going to thrift stores, she loved finding a good deal. Ginger opened up her heart and home to many different ones in need. She was known for her sweet soul and will be missed dearly.

In addition to her parents, Ginger was preceded in death by her sister, Cindy Ann Haman.


She is survived by her daughter, Summar Jahnkow of Henderson, Tennessee; brother, Blake Potter and his wife, Amy of Jackson, Tennessee; brother-in-law, Henry Haman; godchild, Bella Rose Carey; two nephews, Brett Potter and Taylor Stovall; and life long friend, Penny Brasfield.
