Donnie was born on April 14, 1943 on the Glashoff ranch. He attended Fairfield schools and served in the United States Army for five years, from 1960 to 1965.
The life-long Solano County resident worked as a trucker for 20 years and was last employed with Lucky Food Distribution. He also had done work with Solano Concrete in Fairfield.
Donnie is survived by his wife Vicky of 20 years; daughter, Diana Clayton; sons, Leon Clayton, Dan DaCosta (Amanda) and Christopher; mother, Maudie Clayton; sisters, Dollie (Don) Crandall and Marjorie (Jim) Groves; brothers, Pastor Jim (Nancy) Clayton, Victory (Connie) Clayton and Jerry (Nelda) Clayton; nine grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
