Singer and Songwriter. He was an American R&B singer and songwriter who worked in the music industry for more than six decades. He signed with Detroit-based Ric-Tic Records, but later in his career, he signed with Motown Records as a songwriter, not as a recording artist. His hit single, "Baby Please Come Home," was released in 1967 and charted at No. 9 on the Billboard R&B chart in the U.S. He released a number of singles and some of which include "Ain't It the Truth," "Baby Please Come Back Home," "Sweet Sherry," "Chains of Love," "I've Seen The Light," "Real Humdinger," and others. In the 1970s, he became a hit in the UK.
