Obituary:

Eugene Reed, 60, a life long resident of Lansing, died at-his home, 1119 W. Lenawee St. He was born in Riley, Clinton county in 1860. He is survived by his widow Katherine, and four sons, Hubert, Asa, Raymond and DeWain, and a sister, Mrs. E.W. Perrin, all of Lansing. The funeral will be held at the home Monday at 2 p.m., the Rev. Heaton officiating. The interment will be at Mt. Hope.

In 1898, Eugene paid $45.00 for 10 cemetery plots in Mt. Hope Cemetery.

Embalming Done Through Estes-Jarvis Co., Lansing, Michigan. No funeral service was held.
