Annie Pauline "Polly" Wofford Sink, 80, of Andrew Sink Road, died Sunday, Feb. 25, 2007, at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem after a serious illness of two weeks.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel, by the Rev. Billy Pearson. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park.
Ms. Sink was born March 18, 1926, in Davidson County to Samuel Noah and Lucy Adams Wofford. She was a homemaker and of the Methodist faith. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James Lee Sink; one daughter, Joyce Ann Sink Harris; and two brothers, Charlie Wofford and Roy Wofford.
Surviving are one daughter, Carol Fine and her husband, Jim, of Southmont; four sons, Jerry Sink and his wife, Murray, Lynn Sink and his wife, Angie, Tommy Sink and his wife, Vanessa, and Terry Sink and his wife, Donna, all of Lexington; six grandsons and their wives, Rodney and Cindy, Randy and Brenda, Jamie and Tammy, Chris and Carol, Scott and Julie, and Todd Fine and his fiancee, Meagan; two granddaughters and their husbands, Tina and Sonny Byerly and Tracy and Darren Tysinger; 18 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; a sister, Mary Swicegood of Tyro; and a brother, Claude Wofford of Roanoke, Va.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home and other times at the respective homes of the children.
