Obituary of Rev. Richard Thomas Abram
LEXINGTON- A funeral service for Rev. Richard Thomas Abram, 74, will be held Tuesday, December 13, 2022 at 11:30 a.m. at Elgin Congregational Holiness Church with burial to follow in Fort Jackson National Cemetery. The Rev. Judith Luke will officiate. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:30 – 11:30 a.m. at the church.

Rev. Abram passed away on December 4, 2022. Born in Roderfield, W.V., he was a son of the late Rev. Bud M. and Rev. Anna Dickterenko Abram. Rev. Abram served in Vietnam as a Staff Sergeant with the U.S. Air Force. Rev. Abram was a minister, adult Sunday School teacher, Men's fellowship leader and member of Elgin Congregational Holiness Church. He always put God first, and he enjoyed flying his airplane, hunting and fishing.

Surviving are his wife, Mary Ann Abram; children, Brie A. Abram (Danna) of Burnsville, N.C., David C. Abram (Melinda) of Lexington, Kevin M. Abram of Columbia, Amanda K. Abram of Lexington; grandchildren, Lara Abram, Haley Malonjao; and siblings, Joyce Taylor (Harold), Rev. Judith Luke, Jean Mitchell, Danny Abram (Tammy), Sherri Abram, Joey Abram (Amanda), Rev. Linda Lewis (Rev. Steve) and Jimmy Abram. He was predeceased by siblings, Rev. Ronald Abram, Bobby Martin, Rev. Cathy Stone, Debbie Hopkins, Nancy Abram and John Abram.
