Tina Bush, 55, of Indianola, IA, passed away on December 1, 2022 after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.

Born in Des Moines, moving to Indianola at age 11, Tina was a humble woman with small town values. She was family oriented, community driven, and selfless in all aspects of her life.

Tina and her husband Mike spent 27 of her 55 years building a beautiful life together.

Tina was a proud mother to her two children, Crystal and Dillion. Never missing a single milestone, she was the kind of mother who dedicated her entire existence to bettering the lives of her kids.

Playing a major role in the upbringing of her 3 granddaughters, Tina enjoyed countless sleepovers, ice cream dates, and weekends spent camping with her "grand-babies." Her genuine love for children (young or old) extended beyond her family tree, often being referred to as Grandma or Mama Tina by numerous people unrelated to her.

Tina was loyal to those she loved. The true definition of a "one phone call away," "shoulder to cry on" kind of friend. She accepted people for who they are, and was a fierce advocate for anyone who needed someone in their corner.

When it comes to being one of a kind, Tina Bush takes the cake. A truly remarkable human being who will be missed by the multiple lives she touched in her short time on this earth.

Tina was preceded in death by her mother, Gay Jones. She is survived by her husband, Mike Bush; her children, Crystal (Chris) Bates, Dillion (Peyton) Bush; her granddaughters, Camden, Layla, and Harper; her father, Larry Jones; her sisters, Lisa Jones, Carrie Walker, and Brandy Jones; and her nieces, Brooke, Amari, and Aris.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Overton Funeral Home on December 16, 2022 from 3 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The Heal House or Kiya Koda Humane Society in Indianola, in her honor.
