THE PARIS NEWS, Fri., May 28, 1993, p. 16A: 'Deport - Sunny Salter, 18, of Pattonville died Thursday, May 27, at St. Joseph's Hospital & Health Center as a result of an automobile accident. Services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, May 30, in the Prairieland High School gymnasium. Grant Funeral Home will make burial in Highland Cemetery in Deport. The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

He was born Jan. 21, 1975, in Paris, a son of Bobby and Laura Goforth Salter. He was a member of the 1993 graduating class of Prairieland High School. He was also a member of the Prairieland FFA and the Pattonville Volunteer Fire Department.

Surviving are his father and stepmother, Bobby and Sue Salter of Pattonville; his mother and stepfather, Laura and Roger Garrett of Hugo, OK; two sisters, Heather Salter of Hugo and Shanna Pegg of Pattonville; three brothers, Dusty Pegg of Pattonville, Bobby Lee Garrett and Roger Lee Garrett, both of Hugo; these grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. James Walker of Paris, Mr. and Mrs. Ben Goforth of Sumner, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Garrett of Hugo, and Mr. and Mrs. Mario Torres of Waukegan, IL; and three great-grandmothers, Fannie Jordan of Sumner, Nova Goforth of Grand Prairie, and Mrs. Mae McDowra of Deport.

Pallbearers will be Chester Tallant, Kenny Butler, Britt Buchanan, Jackie Crawford, Jeff Kerley, and Scotty Simmons.' This obituary reflects the corrections published in THE PARIS NEWS Sun., May 30, 1993, p. 6A.
