Doris A. "Dori" Gimbal, 82, of Granville, passed away on Sunday, November 6, 2022, at Javen Bea Hospital, Rockford, IL.

Service will be at 12:00 noon, on Saturday, November 12, 2022, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Granville. Fr. Patrick DeMeulemeester will officiate. Burial will be in Granville Cemetery, Granville.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, on Saturday, November 12, 2022, at the church, prior to the service.

Dysart-Cofoid Funeral Chapel, Granville, will be assisting the family with the arrangements.

Doris was born on April 16, 1940, in Ottawa, to Otis and Vilda (Roser) Leech. She married Richard Gimbal, on June 10, 1961.

Doris graduated from Marquette Academy, Ottawa, and La Salle School of Beauty, La Salle. She was a self-employed beautician.

She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Granville, the Altar & Rosary Society, and Keys Club. Doris was also a reader at Mass and a Eucharistic Minister. She really enjoyed sports. She was a Cubs fan, an avid bowler, and enjoyed watching her grandkids' sporting events. She loved traveling, eating out, and going to the Tastee Freeze. Most of all, Doris loved socializing and visiting with family and friends.

Survivors include her husband, Richard Gimbal, of Granville; one son, Doug (Trish) Gimbal, of Granville; one daughter, Danielle (JJ) Stoddard, of Mark; one sister, Mary Migliore, of Melbourne, FL; five grandchildren, Matthew (Monique) Gimbal, Emilie (John) Lyles, Jakyb Stoddard, Jaxon Stoddard, and Jaden Stoddard; and five great-grandchildren, Peyton, Emmett, and Catalina Gimbal, and Jay and Thomas Lyles.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Wayne and Edward.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to donor's choice.

Pallbearers will be Doug Gimbal, Matthew Gimbal, Jakyb Stoddard, Jaxon Stoddard, Jaden Stoddard, and John Lyles.
