She married Fred Darnley in 1948 and they had 3 children: Fred Darnley Jr., Michelle Darnley and Greg Darnley. Dora Mae has 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren to carry on her legacy.
To Dora Mae, there was no such thing as a stranger. She was extremely personable and forthright, befriending everyone she met. She has left quite a mark on all who have met her and she will be very sorely missed.
A service celebrating Dora Mae's life will be held at Christ Lutheran Church 3600 Lawndale Dr, Greensboro, NC on Saturday, May 14th at 11:00 a.m.
She will be interred at Mountain View Cemetery 2090 Valley Dr. in Bristol, VA on Sunday May 15th at 12:00 noon.
