Matthew Sullivan Kirrman - age 27 of Maynardville, formerly of Knoxville, passed away October 9, 2022. He was a 2016 graduate of Knoxville Catholic High School and Walter State Police Academy in 2021. Matthew was a sheriff's deputy with Union Co. Sheriff's Department and a member of St. Nektarios Orthodox Church in Lenoir City. Preceded in death by his father, Michael K. Kirrman. Survived by his wife, Allison; mother, Lisa Marie; sister, Marissa; and brother, Michael; along with many aunts, uncles and cousins. The body will lie in state at St. Nektarios Orthodox Church, 11525 US-321, Lenoir City beginning at 6 p.m. on Friday, October 14th until 10 a.m. Saturday morning. The church will be open through the night for visitation. Funeral services in accordance with the Orthodox Rite of Burial will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at the church.
